Pride is more than a month on the calendar. It goes beyond colorful celebrations and rainbow-filled displays. It is a remarkable part of our history.Pride is resilience. Pride is love.It is the freedom to thrive without fear and to show the world who you are. It is a safe space where communities come together, uplift one another, and find strength in belonging.
In 2026, we mark 56 years since Pride celebrations began, one year after the Stonewall Uprising in 1969.Pride commemorates the courage of LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies who raised their voices, marched the streets, and stood up for equality, peace, love, and unity.Their bravery sparked a movement that continues to inspire generations around the world.Today, not only do we remember the people behind this historical shift, but we celebrate them for giving us a world that encourages us to live openly, love freely, pursue our dreams, and find communities that stand together in support of the life we all deserve.
With this year’s theme, United in Pride, we continue to foster that spirit of community at LexisNexis and across RELX through opportunities to learn, connect, and support one another.
These initiatives are just some of the ways we honor the community across our organization. You may explore more stories here, featuring eight colleagues whose experiences as LGBTQIA+ members and allies reflect the unity and inclusion that make our workplace stronger.
We have made meaningful progress, but there is more to do. Pride calls us to stay engaged and to keep learning.Let us celebrate our differences and the strength they bring. By choosing to stand beside one another and create space for every voice to be heard, we create a world where everyone feels they belong.Because at the heart of it all, Pride is about the freedom to live authentically and be part of a community that unites us all.
