Pioneering to support the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals

Our parent company, RELX, is a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). Its 10 principles related to labor, human rights, environment, and anti-corruption, are dedicated to advancing the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which aim to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all people by 2030.

In 2017, RELX created the free SDG Resource Centre in to advance awareness, knowledge and implementation of the goals, with over 130,000 users in 2021. They have made over 1,000 journal articles and book chapters free to access.

Supporting the Rule of Law

As an active contributor at the United Nations Rule of Law Steering Committee, LexisNexis helped set the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) in motion. Our LexisNexis CEO, Mike Walsh, was honored by the UN Foundation with the Leadership Award for “being a chief executive who leads in a socially responsible way, deploying the resources of LexisNexis to make real change.” His Rule of Law initiative has raised awareness on the importance of law for business, the economy, and promoting peace and prosperity.
