PatentSight+ with Protégé is built as one integrated offering with two ways to work in it. The platform itself supports deep, hands-on analysis, benchmarking portfolios and building landscapes on trusted, harmonized data and proven portfolio metrics. Protégé in PatentSight+ adds a second way in, letting you ask a business question in plain language and get that same kind of structured, decision-ready analysis back. Both draw on the same underlying data, and both end in visualizations and summaries a team can share and act on. New subscriptions include Protégé as part of the core offering, and if you’re already a PatentSight+ customer, it’s available to add to your existing plan.

Adding up the Competitive Impact of every patent family in a portfolio gives the Patent Asset Index, a single, comparable measure of portfolio strength that’s used by companies in shareholder reporting and by governmental bodies in antitrust and merger review. When Protégé in PatentSight+ runs a benchmarking analysis for you, it applies this same calculation and shows its reasoning step by step, so the result isn’t a black box even when you didn’t build the analysis by hand.
