Global Hackathon

Igniting Ideas: Our First-Ever Global Hackathon

February 10, 2026

Innovation thrives when people are empowered to experiment, collaborate, and think beyond what’s possible today. This month we brought that belief to life with our first-ever all-company hackathon. A two-day sprint that united colleagues across regions, disciplines, and perspectives to build the future together.

Our inaugural hackathon brought together a vibrant global community, with 126 participants representing nine countries. Over the course of just two days, teams submitted more than 48 ideas, and 32 of those concepts were brought to life as working prototypes. These numbers tell a powerful story of creativity, collaboration, and momentum.

A Global Sprint Fueled by Purpose

Designed as an immersive, fast-paced experience, the hackathon challenged participants to focus their energy across four key categories that reflect both who we are today and where we’re headed:

  • Culture – Empowering initiatives that strengthen our organizational culture and enhance team collaboration Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
  • Harnessing AI and ML to pioneer new efficiencies and unlock strategic opportunities Innovation
  • Driving creative solutions that challenge conventional boundaries and reimagine how work gets done Commercial Impact
  • Developing ideas that directly enhance business value, revenue growth, or market position

Teams self-organized across time zones and functions, blending technical expertise, business insight, and creative thinking. Whether participants were building AI-driven tools, rethinking internal collaboration, or exploring new commercial opportunities, the common thread was a shared passion for solving meaningful problems.

Why Hackathons Matter

Hackathons play a vital role in fostering innovation not just because of what gets built, but because of how it gets built. They create space for experimentation, encourage rapid learning, and remove traditional barriers that can slow down new ideas. In a hackathon environment, bold thinking is encouraged, failure is treated as a learning opportunity, and collaboration happens organically.

For our teams, this meant the freedom to explore ideas that might not fit neatly into day-to-day priorities, while still aligning closely with real business needs. For the organization, it meant surfacing fresh perspectives, uncovering untapped talent, and accelerating concepts that could shape future products, processes, and ways of working.

More Than Prototypes

While the 32 prototypes showcased impressive technical and creative execution, the hackathon’s impact extended well beyond what was delivered at the finish line. Participants built new connections across regions, strengthened problem-solving skills, and gained hands-on experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.

Just as importantly, the event reinforced a culture where innovation is everyone’s responsibility, not limited to a single role, team, or function. The enthusiasm, energy, and sense of ownership demonstrated throughout the hackathon reflected a workplace where people feel empowered to contribute ideas and drive change.

Building the Future Together

Our first all-company hackathon marked the beginning of an exciting new tradition one that celebrates curiosity, collaboration, and courage. It highlighted what’s possible when diverse minds come together around shared challenges, and it reinforced our commitment to investing in our people as the engine of innovation.

For those considering joining our team, this hackathon offers a glimpse into how we work: collaboratively, creatively, and with purpose. We believe the best ideas can come from anywhere, and we’re proud to create opportunities where those ideas can be explored, built, and brought to life.

This is just the start, and we can’t wait to see what we build next.
