Virtual Employeepalooza: Keeping Our Team Connected and Appreciated!
At LexisNexis, we pride ourselves on fostering a fun and welcoming culture where our teams enjoy each other’s company. With the rise of remote work, it’s more important than ever to keep everyone connected and engaged, and that’s where our Virtual Employeepalooza comes in!
We know that a hybrid work model is now preferred by most workers; according to recent survey by Accenture, 83% of workers favor it over traditional in-office models. This creates an ideal environment for virtual team-building activities. The sentiment is mirrored by the team here. Jessica Morel is the Head of Employee Experience here and “It’s been my hope to see our offices vibrant with colleagues a few days a week as we can’t replace the value of in-person meetings and collaborations.”
How Did We Celebrate with our Rock Star Team?
Our biannual celebrations are a chance to recognize our star performers and bond as a team. This spring we took our employees on a virtual trip to Milan and New Delhi and competed in an Olympic-style team game with fun challenges.
But that’s not all – we also had DJ Tom Macari pumping up the jams in our virtual lounge and announced fun contests like the Show Me Your Talent/Hobby video challenge and a black & white photo contest. It was a great opportunity to laugh, connect, and distract us from the stresses of work and life.
This annual event was a perfect opportunity for our leadership team to shout from the rooftops how amazing and dedicated the organization has been to contributing to the goals we set out to achieve. As a bonus we launched an employee pop-up shop for employees to select a gift.
